was tempted to buy "ZODIAC" at kinokuniya but didn't get it in the end.zzz.but i don't think i will have the time to read it so forget it and wait till the movie comes out.fel got her so called "highlights" at "it's hairy"(far east plaza) today and it was quite cool and nice.she looks more lively wif her pink "highlights".hahaha.the price was cool as well.9 strands of hair extension for $72.quite worth the money for girls.bah.went to eat at taka and was walking aimlessly in orchard.haha.strawberry ice cream was nice.went to amk hub alone afterwards and stoned there for awhile b4 going home.sch's starting at 8 tmr and thursday.daiko training on for nxt 4 days.damn. |

Till now then I realised that the indonesians (Fred,Heri & Mulias) are the real fun bunch of people to mix around with in Daiko. I have been mixing around with the wrong people in the past. Damn. Come on let's form the SPJDDL (Singapore Polytechnic Japanese Daiko Drum Lamers)!!!Let's draw more circles and do more of the pointing of fingers(: Haha! SPJDDL plus 3 other daikoreans went to UK funfair just now. The rides are so so so so fun. But no money = no fun rides. We were hoping to pick up a 50 dollar note but in the end we were unlucky so we went home. HAHA. Anyway Daiko managed to get lots of freshies this year. Really lots for training. I don't know how to handle the number of people, especially on Monday and Wednesday. No drums to train. Not enough trainers on Monday.Argh.

CONCLUSION: Tsuki > Kodai
Reason:
This concert is too rushed. A late decision being made.
The performing experience of 2006/2007 juniors is much lesser than the 2005/2006 juniors.
The standard of 2005/2006 seniors >>>> the standard of 2006/2007 seniors.
Feel is not there. 11 weeks left only.
Shime-players are not stable. Only Geraldine Moo can make it.
This year's opening song might not be good with all juniors playing. There will be little or no feel of happiness in that song.
Too little O-Daiko players. Rely too much on one or two players who are not good enough.
The songs that are watchable are the songs that have Jill and Zhi Min playing .
Rely too much on props.
Acting will overshadow everything else. It might not be nice but borefest that will put the crowd to sleep.
And a lot more to list...
Kodai will only be better than Tsuki if:
This year's attendance is near full house.
Suddenly everyone get hold of the feel that is needed for each song.
Everyone's movement improve by alot.
Anyone can be funnier than Jun Wei.
Jack can play SOK without any mistake.

Sometimes I just have to admit that my team and I are just not good enough. Bad. Lack of performing experience for some. Not enough feeling and strength. Etc. From the looks on the crowd faces, it gets from looking forward which is good to ok to bored to dead. They didn't even know that the whole performance ended. Haha what can i say. Some are simply not interested at all. Reading newspapers and etc. You can actually see that they are more enthusiastic in other groups performances than ours. Camera flashes all over. This shows that we are boring and less interesting than other performing arts groups, which is completely different from what I have seen last week. Last year at this point of time, SP Daiko is better than JAS Daiko. Alot better. Now JAS Daiko is alot better than us. What can I say? Tsk. I just wonder how the audience will react during the coming concert which is in 14 weeks time. Will it be better than last year? Will it be ok? Or will it suck? And speaking of the concert, everything is not ready yet. Haven't finish learning the songs, haven't started on making the props, haven't ask the life arts to help us paint our banner...blahblahblah...Everything just doesn't seemed to go what I've expected..Hmm.. |
